The original plan. Fly into Vancouver, cross the border early before you've bought anything, hit Walla Walla wine country, and finish in Portland — the best brewery and distillery city on the whole trip.
Kelowna, BC → Okanagan Valley → Vancouver → Seattle → Woodinville → Hood River → Portland, OR
Swaps Walla Walla for Canada's premier wine region — lakes, mountains, and vineyards on hillsides instead of rolling farmland. Same great finish in Portland. Trade-off: flights into Kelowna need a connection, and Okanagan wine gets declared at the border.
Vancouver, BC → Seattle → Woodinville → Walla Walla → Jackson Hole / Grand Teton → Yellowstone → fly home from Bozeman, MT
Drops Hood River and Portland in favor of Grand Teton and Yellowstone — wolves, bison, geysers, and some of the most dramatic scenery in North America. Keeps Walla Walla wine country and the Seattle stop. The trade: less brewery/distillery time, way more wildlife and landscape.
